HISTORY OF HOFHEINZ

LOGO DESIGN

In 2017, the University of Houston decided to close down its historic Hofheinz Pavilion, which was the home of Houston Cougars basketball for decades. A website was created to commemorate the history of the building and all that went on in it. I designed the emblem that would be used on everything related to the stadium’s closing and final season.

The emblem combines the University of Houston logo, their custom Houston typeface, and a simple illustration of the building to drive home that UH feel.

The primary emblem is used on the website and other applications that easily allow multiple colors.
