Room Room is a restaurant bar in Mexico City, Mexico, featuring live bands and geared towards middle class families and “hipsters”. The concept of the restaurant is European/American taverns, with wood furniture, old leather sofas, and weathered bricks on the walls.
A Baroque style was chosen for the logo design to allude to the old tavern theme. A common feature of baroque branding is the use of a monogram.
The monogram is to be used in smaller applications where the full logo wouldn’t fit well, such as a drink coaster.
The full logo is a decorated emblem, consisting of the restaurant’s name, the monogram, and ornamental designs around the two.
To avoid loss of detail, the emblem is only to be used on larger applications such as the cover of menus or outside signage.
An in-depth look at the process of creating the logo can be viewed/downloaded in the logo proposal book (PDF).
